About us

Birth Matters.

Part of our beliefs about birth come from those we’ve indirectly experienced through our family, friends’ and society’s stories and feelings about birth. If a family member had a traumatic birth experience, it may be safe to say that when you ask for advice as you prepare for childbirth, they may respond with a bit of bias or opinions that are centered in their own trauma.

When we consider what is true about reproductive health and birth, it becomes clear that along the way many of us have not had access to the right information when making decisions regarding our own bodies and birth experience. This can result in a lack of trust in ourselves, and this lack of trust can lead to fear-based decision making.

Our Mission.

LibBi’s mission is to be a game-changer in the world of birth and postpartum support, providing a comprehensive set of resources that empower birth workers and families alike.

LibBi’s mission is to bridge the gap between birth workers and families, offering practical, modern, and accessible solutions that reflect the realities of today's maternal care landscape. It’s about raising the standard of support so that everyone involved—whether providing care or receiving it—can thrive.

  • We firmly believe that education is key to making informed decisions and having a positive birth experience.

By providing comprehensive and accessible education for families and providers, we create a system that promotes collaboration, understanding, and optimal outcomes.

  • For families: Through our platform, families can connect with others, share experiences and resources, and find the support they need.

For birthworkers and providers: We aim to foster an environment where birthworkers can collaborate, skill share, and grow both personally and professionally.

  • We represent a culture that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. By challenging the existing norms and paradigms that exists within our failing healthcare system, we aim to cultivate a standard, bringing greater public awareness, and opportunity for professional development while uplifting the communal health of families during the childbearing years.

Birthworkers and providers.

Birthworkers and providers face unique challenges within their roles. By offering a platform that cultivates collaboration, education, and community, we can collectively elevate the standard of care for families and birthworkers, and create positive change within the birth community.
